The ultimate San Francisco photography opportunity is the so called Low Fog Event when the fog is so low that you can see the towers of the Golden Gate Bridge peaking from a sea of fog. This typically only happens a few times a year so capturing it requires some patience. This was a particularly lucky capture as I didn't set an alarm to check on the fog in the early morning. However I randomly woke up at 5:30 and checked my phone - as soon as I saw the conditions at the bridge I jumped out of bed to race to the city before the sun rose and was rewarded with this view where the north tower of the bridge framing the needle of the Transamerica Pyramid.
