The Eastern Kingbird is a summer visitor and typically can be seen in open areas feeding on insects which they catch on the wing.
This image was taken with a Canon Mark1D Mark IV and a 400mm lens handheld.
These birds are not easy to approach but I found that if I drive slowly I can hide in my car and get a closer shot than being outside of the car.
