When my friend told me she was visiting Seattle in October, I knew I wanted to bring her on a "larch march", which is a hike to see the needles of the larch trees as they change color. We were fortunate to catch a rare sunny day with blue skies right after a light snowfall in the mountains for our hike to Lake Ingalls.
