My first time at the Grand Canyon was in the midst of a rainstorm. The canyon walls came in and out of visibility as the clouds shifted rapidly. I was immediately introduced to the canyon's dynamic environment as a mere two days later, when my family and I hiked down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, we had completely blue skies.
