We drove across Florida from the gulf side of the Everglades along the Big Cypress National Preserve. I had never heard of it and it is beautiful. As a new birder, it took us 8 hours to get across (normally it would be a lot less) as we stopped at so many places. A NP Ranger told us where we could find this Ahinga with her chicks. A "lifer" bird for me!
