A hiker descends the Blue Mesa trail in the Petrified Forest National Park. Probably the most scenic area and best view of the geology in the national park, these badlands are so colorful and unique. The trail is paved and a nice walk down and around the area, with informational stops along the way. The Blue Mesa badlands are incredible and ancient, not to mention a landscape photographers dream!
