I'm still shocked that I saw a family of bobcats yesterday afternoon! It couldn't have been more than 15 seconds from seeing them, stopping my car, taking some photos, and them disappearing into the brush. I love how well the late afternoon sun lights up their coats and spots, amazing!

Bobcats are extremely elusive to see, let alone an entire family. I love how them little one at the right of the picture is looking back as to say "let's go, there's mice and voles to eat!!" This experience has been one of my favorites so far since taking up wildlife photography.

Fun fact: bobcats can run at 30 mph (48 kilometers per hour) when stalking prey.
