Hiking into the Robinson River in Shenandoah National Park I heard something approaching through the forest and two young whitetail bucks emerged from behind a tree. I watched in awe as they meandered along sampling various leaves, quite unbothered by my presence. The refuge afforded by this National Park allows for these unique wildlife encounters.
