White Sands National Park is one of our favorite family destinations. Every time we visit, we spend hours on the dunes playing and taking in the beauty around us. During our October 2022 visit, we watched a beautiful sunset on the dunes together, and as we were walking back to our car, a thunderstorm forming in the distance was creating frequent lightning strikes. I quickly set up my camera and tripod and zoomed in, getting extremely lucky with my timing as I captured this image of two strikes! We then hurried back to our car before the storm could potentially reach us.
