This photo symbolizes just why this part of Canyonlands National Park is named "Island in the Sky." It was taken at the Holeman Spring Canyon Overlook, and overlooks the middle mens of the three in this section of the park. This view is toward the west and shows the ruggedness of the country with Birthday Cake butte near the center of the photo. In the distance, and out of sight is the canyon of the Green River.
