This iconic tree is located in White Pocket in northern Arizona, which is part of the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. It is a 3- hour drive to get there, ending on 4-wheel drive "roads" which are often narrow and rough. The trip was worth every bump! This tree is located in a mini-oasis of green, surrounded by dry, hard "brainrock." It is a testament to the tenacity of life, even in harsh conditions.
