This photo was taken on the West Rim trail at Mohave point. It is one of the few spots on the trail where you can actually see the Colorado. The red-orange object below and to the right of the tree branch is one of the tails of the Alligator (which is the butte directly below Mohave Point). I believe Boucher Rapids appears at the point where the river turns to the right and disappears from view.
