Noticing some ravens in our suburban area, I was able to track them to a nest on the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway. There were four fledglings in the nest and when they journeyed out into the world I was able to document it through photographs. This photo is backlit by the rising sun as the young blue-eyed Raven raises a raspy call to check on its siblings.
