Of course the beach on Lake Michigan is one of the most popular features at Indiana Dunes and it is a beauty. This photo of West Beach from the Dunes Succession Trail shows the beautiful black -blue color of Lake Michigan contrasted with the light sand of the fore dune anchored by the green Marram grass, the agent responsible for stabilizing the dunes in the park.
