On vacation with my family from New York we traveled to Zion a year after my mom took a trip to Wyoming, dazzled by the landscapes so different from the damp, cold but rest assured beautiful forests and hills of the Hudson valley. As a 27 year old man I am entering a part in my life where vacations with my parents may not be such a regular thing, traditions and events that we used to look forward too seem to make way for new things in our evolving lifestyles. All of this is a natural part of getting older which I understand, which is why this vacation seems to be so important. Spending time with my parents and family friends knowing our lives are changing so rapidly before our very eyes highlights the beauty of the moments and with the awe inspiring beauty of Zion in the backdrop, these moments are even more magical, memorable and important to me and I’m sure everyone else.
