The Ledges Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park takes you around the perimeter of a cliff face and rock formations, an unexpected topography for Ohio. The trail is further enhanced by a lush climax forest containing many large trees including healthy hemlocks, as of yet unaffected by the wooly adelgid insect. Stair cases have been cleverly sculpted in to the rock in areas along the hike and a few scattered cave openings can also be seen.
