Badlands National Park, South Dakota

As this storm approached from the west, I knew that a spectacular, once-in-a-lifetime photography moment was about to unfold. As the violent storm passed to the east, the sun started to shine through the western clouds. After a few minutes, and to my surprise a rainbow appeared to the east providing this image of foreboding clouds lit up by the sun, a rainbow, a bison and a glow on the land to the east.
