Mesa Verde was a last minute stop on a larger roadtrip and a completely delightful surprise. The high clifftop homes of the ancient peoples who once lived here are an incredible step back in time. Paired with a wild weather day of dramatic skies made for a wonderful memory! I was not expecting such an island in the sky.
