A beautiful wild red wolf in some amazing light! This red wolf is now over a year old and helping her family unit feed the newest litter born at Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. She is apart of the first litter born in the wild since 2018 and is now the aunt of a new litter of pups. Red wolves are often known as America's wolf because they are endemic to the United States, unlike Grey wolves and Mexican Grey wolves. They are critically endangered with only an estimate of 20-35 surviving in the wild.
