I had never visited the Grant Canyon before, and was anxiously awaiting to capture my first glimpse. After parking at our first overlook and walking about a quarter mile, I finally saw it- lit up in vibrant orange by the sunset. This photo is one of the first that I captured of Grand Canyon National Park, and I was lucky enough to be visiting at the perfect time of day. Pictured in this photo is the desert view watchtower, the glowing Colorado river down below, and the many other visitors gathered around to appreciate the Canyons beauty at sunset.
