There is no more iconic structure on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon than the Desert View Watchtower by Mary Colter. This structure takes us back in time, to another world, another culture. While the beauty in the inside and the views from the tower are spectacular, this photo captures the raw beauty of the stone tower itself.
