The first time I ever explored this area I was completely floored by how huge and just plain cool all the natural structures and islands rising out of the sea looked. It was so unlike anywhere I'd ever been before that I instantly fell in love with the area. When I finally decided to shoot the iconic island with the sun poking through the trees it just became a simple matter of walking out on the tiny strip of land next to it, setting up my tripod and shooting in some windy conditions while praying for a good sunset. Luckily, it delivered. Still one of my favorite shots to this day.
