Yellowstone National Park

Temperatures dropping below zero in Yellowstone is quite common in the winter month's, it's ideal for getting images like this one. The elk nestles into the snow, like building an igloo. The snow is a constant 32 degrees, warmer than the frigid -18 degree temperatures these elk must deal with on this particular day. My favorite time to visit the park, from December to April.
