Sunrise at Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park almost feels like a rite of passage. It also feels like a true part of the America-experience. There will be a gathering of people, all there for the same reason, and while everyone waits for the underside of the arch to be lit up by the rising sun, you'll hear languages from all over the world, voices from people of all ages, and probably even make a friend or two. This photo has been taken literally a million times by a million people, but when you're there taking the view in with these strangers, you feel like you're a part of something unique to that time and place.
