This is CLIFF PALACE located at Mesa Verde National Park (also a UNESCO world heritage site) in Montezuma County Colorado. This cliff dwelling, part of 600 Cliff dwellings in the park, is the largest. The Pueblonian population struggled through drought and some warfare and the final inhabitants left the Mesa in the late 13th century. It is quite amazing to see how well built their structures are to have survived over a thousand years.
