A rider treks out to see wild horses in the West desert along the original Pony Express route.
Jeff Nichols runs Hi-line & Hobbles Chapter, Back Country Horsemen of Utah/Owner Setpoint Kennels & Guiding Services, and was leading a group of riders that had just witnessed a wild stampede when this candid shot was taken.
The riding group, though not a reenactment, is cultural and historical.
