Bison are commonly seen on Sage Creek Rim Road in Badlands National Park. This herd had gathered in the dusk of late spring, slowly ambling across the prairie with many bison calves (or "red dogs") in tow. All was peaceful until two bison -- seen in the lower right corner -- got feisty and started to butt heads.
