The day we visited this park most of it had been closed down by a severe storm. The Earth Lodge was still accessible but the Great Temple Mound and the Lesser Temple Mound were not. They were visible at a distance from the Earth Lodge however and impressive even at a distance. Quite a feat accomplished by the earliest American peoples, specifically the Mississippians.
