This photo was from an exploration hike just off the John Muir Trail in 2021. We left our tents and heavy backpacks at Garnet Lake and followed an inlet upstream to an overlook of Thousand Lakes. Looking back, we saw this amazingly calm creek winding through a serene meadow.
