I wasn't expecting to be quite so moved by Mt. Rushmore on our trip to visit South Dakota, but it's one of those things that, even if you've seen it in pictures a million times before, being there in person carries a certain weight to it that brings up a lot of emotions. Pride in the accomplishments of these great former presidents. Humility because of the efforts it took to create opportunities that I take for granted every day. Awe at the beauty of this memorial. Something I'll never forget.
