Alaskan Brown Bear sow and her spring cubs "lazing on a sunny afternoon" amongst the sedges of the Chinitna Bay tidal area, which supports a healthy bear population with its abundance of clams and sedges. More than 95% of Brown Bears in the United States live in Alaska.
