Katmai National Park & Preserve

I had the opportunity to go on a guided afternoon fly fishing tour on the Brooks River downstream from 43 grizzly bears fishing for their own salmon in Katmai National Park and Preserve. My guide and I stayed over 50 yards away from the bears at all times, and I was able to capture this shot of the Brooks Falls bears with my telephoto lens at a safe distance! What an exhilarating experience!
