Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge

What an absolutely amazing day at Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge. I was able to see several red wolf puppies and 2 adults!!!!!!

my red wolf count is now at 7 for the year and considering there are only about 20 in the wild I think, I've gotten pretty lucky. This little pup glared in my direction on and off all day, classic sleepy teenager. Seeing and photographing red wolves in the wild is my wholesome addiction. Remember, always treat these animals with respect and give them the space they need, never chase them and enjoy from a distance.
