When I was told I had fractured my ankle, I almost cried - not because of the pain but because of the lost nature walk opportunities. But, after feeling sorry for myself, I looked for NWRs with wildlife loops and found Bombay Hook. They had a path that had a boardwalk and was labeled as handicapped, so I got the crutches out away we went. This photo is of the beginning of the trail. You can see the top of my crutch in the foreground. Places like that are made for all.
