We hiked to Taft Point on our first evening at Yosemite. The drive up to Glacier Point and the hike out to Taft Point was the perfect introduction to the park. I'm not sure what was more breathtaking though - the view or the sheer drop-off from the fissures. I was too nervous to go any closer, so luckily I could live vicariously through this photographer who ventured closer to the edge. You can see the scale of the cliff and the drop by how tiny this adult looks in contrast!
