One of the coolest things we saw at Death Valley were the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. The wind was constantly blowing and re-shaping the dunes and we had a great time climbing and exploring. The dunes played a cool trick on the eye, where you thought you could see them all but they actually stretched on for miles - so even though there were dozens of other groups exploring, it was a really quiet and peaceful atmosphere and we felt like we had the area to ourselves.
