Mauna Loa began erupting after over 38 years and the lava was clearly visible on the side of Mauna Loa from the Saddle Road. On 11/30/2022 the clouds intermittently obscured the view from the multitudes of people who had driven up to see it. This photo was take from the flank of Mauna Kea above the clouds. You can see a stream of car lights in the lower left.
