Mother and daughter mule deer seeking refuge from the hustle of the mating season. It's a good bet to find the mothers with young hiding out among the "fingers" of the badlands formations in late November. As the rut winds down, more and more females gather together forming the herds that could spend the rest of the winter together. These two were kind enough to stop and pose.
