I love this particular scene because seeing the harsh reality of nature can be the fastest way to see life differently. I always find myself wondering what happened. The area I took this in had a few other animal "remnants" scattered around. It almost seemed like injured and desperate animals sought out this area to die. It was a good location to hide from a cold north wind but the nightly chorus of coyotes should have warned them of their possible demise. To see the full circle of life in these parks is a wonderful reminder to live fully and live well.
