This was taken at the end of a day spent with this group of bighorn sheep. They were showing signs of coming into rut and it was fairly interesting to see the challenging, aggressive behavior from the males. What was surprising was the aggression towards the females. It was apparent that the males wanted to control the group completely. When I took this, I was leaving the "cove" we were in and when I turned to watch them I realized they were following me, watchful but not scared. This was the first time I felt like they were completely ok with my being there with them.
