Our family-ages 16-46 backpacked 3 nights in the backcountry on the north rim along Yosemite Creek Trail. We happened upon this established campsite with a fire pit- the only one we saw. The fire was a much welcome reprieve to warm us and allow us to cook dinner. Star-gazing and story-telling provided the only entertainment we needed.
