I started my photo hunt early in the day to capture sunrise at Crater Lake. I was unlucky. The sun never came out until late in the day. The sun was too harsh in the middle of the day so I just meandered around the vista point of the lake. Sometime mid-afternoon, I noticed the different shades of soil sediments at the slopes of the caldera as well as the smaller volcano within the crater itself which I believe are manifestations of previous volcanic eruptions. Phot was taken with Nikon D850 using a Nikkor 50 mm with Cokin graduated filter ND 4 & 8, f11 at 1/250 sec.
