While hiking at Toadstool Geologic Park in the Ogalala National Grasslands in Western Nebraska, I saw this replica of a sod house that once dotted the Nebraska Prairie. My paternal Grandfather actually grew up in one of these not far from Burwell, NE. It was very interesting to see how him, and his family must have lived in Nebraska's tough summers and winters.
