During a recent trip to the Michigan Upper Peninsula, I heard that the hike to Chapel Rock was the best hike along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We had a bit of trouble finding it, getting lost on the way and losing GPS signal, before we ended up on an ATV trail in our rental car... I was getting very worried and nearly ready to turn around. But, the ATV trail was too narrow to turn so we kept going, hoping we'd find a road again. Thankfully we did, and it led us to the trailhead! It ended up being a beautiful hike, culminating with the amazing view of Chapel Rock and Lake Superior.
