As I was driving through Shenandoah National Park on an evening well past the peak fall season, I was pleasantly surprised by an overlook during sunset. The scene held a uniquely beautiful view as the lack of leaves in the trees nearby made it rather colorless and the whole scene seemed to have a natural gradient that became more colorful going from bottom to top. The national parks are indeed gorgeous regardless of the time of the year!
