My husband and I stayed at Bettles Lodge for our base to visit Gates of The Arctic National Park. We booked a full-day flight-seeing and landing tour of both Kobuk Valley and Gates of The Arctic. We asked our floatplane pilot if he would be able to fly us through the Arrigetch Peaks area of the Brooks Range. He said he couldn't promise us that, but with good weather conditions, we were able to. Tears flowed as we flew so close to these incredible peaks.
