I enjoy visiting Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge just before sunset in the winter months. As the sun sets, the Sandhill Cranes will fly from the nearby fields to the ponds in the evening. As they fly towards the ponds, they are also flying towards the sunset offering some beautiful color.
