Our last day in Mount Rainier National Park, my husband and I decided to squeeze in one last hike with the hope of catching a glimpse of the mountain. We arrived at the trailhead in the dark and although it was cloudy, we started hiking to the top of Pinnacle Peak. As soon as we reached the summit, the clouds began to clear and we saw a perfect view of Mount Rainier for about 5 minutes. By the time we started the descent, the clouds rolled back in and entirely blocked the mountain.
