We had the most glorious autumn in 5-10 years in Virginia due to the coldest October in 17 years. Not only were the colors vivid but the peak corresponded to what we always used to experience, occurring in late October - not November or early December. These colors were the scene at the Stony Man viewpoint along the nature trail that starts at Skyland.
