My trip to Acadia National Park in late September coincided with a new moon, perfect for star gazing. I visited the Eagle Lake access site, about two hours after sunset, and was rewarded with an amazing view of the Milky Way core, very late season, as it sets for the remainder of the year, not to be seen again until March. The perfectly calm water and no wind lended itself for a bonus reflection on the waters of the lake, in an area that is almost always windy. The conditions were perfect for this capture.
